1. 21 MAR 2021 - Valley players featured in Pearl TV Story about Women's rugby in Hong Kong

A brilliant video piece on primetime Pearl TV this week - focussing on women's/girls rugby in Hong Kong - featured several Societe Generale Valley women's players.

The story really highlights the diversity and inclusiveness that is celebrated at Valley - and in Hong Kong rugby in general - and the many benefits that arise through sport. Specifically, team, sport.

  • Tanya Dhar is a 20 year old Valley player and National Rep who also coaches an Under-14 girls team.
  • Anita Vogel is a working, professional with a young child.
  • Celina Tomugdan, Karen Milan and Joean Guillarda are Filipino domestic helpers.
  • Samantha Scott Feausi is a former Valley and HK legend now heading up women's rugby development at the Hong Kong Rugby Union.

A common theme was balancing life and sport but how the how the upsides far outweigh the demands of scheduling, work, family and all-out physical exertion. In fact, making time for sport and teammates actually boosts physical and mental capacity to tackle life on a daily basis.

Bravo everybody!
