After what seemed like an eternity, the Knights kicked off their 2020/2021 Premiership A season at home against Hong Kong Scottish Nomads under lights. And the Knights didn't disappoint with a bonus point 33 - 5 win over a spirited Nomads side.
The match started in lightning fashion despite Nomads having the early possession and forging their way into the Knights red zone, player of the match, Siya Alam stripped the Scottish player of the ball, took an opening on the blind and before you could say 'buffalo', Siya had sprinted 90m for the opening try in the corner. And to cap off a great start, a sideline conversion from Alam.
A further try half way through the first half to prop, James Craig and a further conversion to Alam saw the Knights take a 14 - 0 half time lead.
With some great hands and interplay between forwards and backs throughout, a second half try to Valley's newest Life Member, Alex Baddeley followed by a brace of tries to Matty Bellos saw the Knights run out 33 - 5 eventual winners over the Nomads.
