Nominations are hereby invited for the election of members to the General Committee at the upcoming Annual General meeting to be held on 19 June 2024. The positions for election are detailed below and formal notice of the AGM will be sent in due course in accordance with Article 12.6

a) Chairperson;
b) Vice Chairperson;
c) Treasurer;
d) Men’s Performance Rugby Convenor;
e) Men’s Community Rugby Convenor;
f) Women’s Rugby Convenor;
g) Hockey Convenor;
h) Netball Convenor;
i) Social Convenor;
j) Director for Kit;
k) Director for Youth;
l) Director for Charity and Sustainability;
m) Director for Diversity and Inclusion; and
n) Director for Business Development and the Red and Black Club.

Nomination Procedures

Completed nomination forms must be returned to the Club Administrator by post or hand to 8th Floor Tai Sang Bank Building, 130-132 Des Voeux Road, Central, Hong Kong or electronically to samantha.scott@valleyrfc.com no later than midnight on 21 May 2024

In accordance with Article 8 of the Articles of Association:

a. In order to be eligible for nomination as an Officer of the Club the nominee must be a fully paid Member at the time of their nomination.

b. Nominations shall:

i. be in writing and include the name of the individual so nominated, the name and signature of another Member acting as proposer of such person; and

ii. be accompanied by the written consent to the nomination of the individual so nominated; and

iii. be returned to the Administrator at the Club by way of post or delivered by hand to the Administrator or by such other means as agreed by the Committee from time to time.

c. No person may be nominated for more than one of the categories of Officers set out in Article 8.1 (A) paragraph (i) to (xvi).

d. Each Officer shall be elected at an Annual General Meeting in accordance with the provisions of the Articles and shall hold office until the next Annual General Meeting held after the Ordinary Resolution to elect them. An Officer shall be eligible for re-election.
