As told by Womens Rugby convenor Caitlin Spencer

The start to the Societe Generale Women’s Rugby season has generated lots of talk and interest for great reason!

The Reds have started their season undefeated through the first 8 games for the first time, with 6 wins and 2 draws so far! This season’s squad is helmed by veteran coach and player KK Wong and features both old and new players alike, with captains Stef and Taryn leading the charge. The rest of their season is shaping up to be incredibly exciting so head on down to a game when you can, with a last ranking round game to be played this weekend, before the league splits to A and B.

The Womens Premiership squad is still building and has brought around mixed results at home and away i n the early stages of the season, but have bounced back in their true form of age. We are very proud to announce that there have been some stand out rugby performances for club and country on the squad:

- 4 Prems girls were selected to for the HK China squad in a winning test match against Columbia in Dubai in October

- 2 Prems girls brought home bronze medals when they played in the 7s tournament in the Asian Games

- Bella Milo officially became Manusina Samoa’s most capped player when she participated in the 6 week World VXs tournament in Cape Town in October.

- Rosie Inglis awarded HKCR Player of the Round for her standout performance against Gai Wu on November 11.

We’re also excited to announce the arrival of 2 imports from New Zealand: Welcome to the Valley Family Tafi and Sting! Sting also participated in the WXV competition representing Manusina.

Catch the Valley Women in action on Saturdays! Cheer them on as they look to continue their winning streak through the rest of the season!
