Societe Generale Valley RFC have once again asserted their dominance over the women's game in Hong Kong, clinching the Nan Fung Group Women's Premiership league trophy for the 2025/26 season after defeating Causeway Sandy Bay in a one sided 100-0 victory.
Winning 14 out of 15 games this season, the team have done a great job of mixing experienced veterans with young upcoming players. Caitlin Spencer retired from the team and played her last game on the weekend, with young upcoming player Rosie Inglis bagging the player of the match award.
The title-clinching game was more than just a trophy lift; it was a landmark occasion for Head Coach Bella Milo. The match against Causeway Sandy Bay marked her 100th game in charge of coaching the Valley side. Having also played over 100 games for the mighty red and black before transitioning into coaching, Bella's impact on team has been undeniably significant.
With the league trophy safely secured, the team break off for a well-deserved Lunar New Year Break and then will return for the defense of the Women's Premiership Grand Championship Trophy. As league winners, Valley will have the advantage of facing the 4th-placed team in the semi-finals as they look to complete another league and championship double . The Grand Championship final is set for 14th March 2026.
