Ben Higgins drops by charity partner with South China Tigers kit for children sheltering from domestic abuse

We highly appreciate the great effort of Valley RFC to organize this charity event and contributions of all the super teams. Your kindness and support can make a difference to the needy families and children of Harmony House

During the recent Valley Everest Challenge on June 27th, the club raised around HKD250,000 for charity partners, Harmony House and Feeding Hong Kong.

Subsequently, the HKRU decide to name Valley RFC their weekly "Local Hero" and offered a South China Tigers goody bag to someone at Valley. It was an easy decision to offer the goody bag to one of the kids at the Harmony House shelter which lead the HKRU to extend their offer to 12 goody bags for 12 kids.

Current Valley Premiership player, Hong Kong International and South China Tiger rep, Ben Higgins was kind enough to deliver the bags to the team at Harmony House for onward delivery to the children.

Doris Lee, Executive Director of Harmony House, was delighted by the gesture, saying "let’s give a big round of applause for Valley RFC’s meaningful give back fundraising event during this difficult time in HK. Harmony House is so proud of being one of the beneficiaries in this event. The "Valley Everest 4x Challenge" on 27 June 2020 is absolutely wonderful and has attracted many sporting teams to shine for us. We highly appreciate the great effort of Valley RFC to organize this charity event and contributions of all the super teams. Your kindness and support can make a difference to the needy families and children of Harmony House. Thanks very much!"

In true rugby spirit, several community groups have come together to benefit those of our city that face significant challenges on a daily basis. We sincerely thank HKRU to their support and most of all, Harmony House and Feeding Hong Kong for the tireless work they do.
