With the Fabian Gregory Country of Origin Hockey Tournament coming up this weekend, many of you have reached out asking how you could send donations.

This Go Fund me account has been created in memory of Fabian Gregory. With Fabian’s passing, many of you have reached out asking how you could help provide support. There have been many who expressed a desire to do something that would give back to Fabian’s son Jamie and let him know how much his father was loved and how he will forever be remembered. Jamie will face of number of challenges now that Fabian is no longer with him. The goal of this is to provide funds for Jamie’s secondary and university education so the family has one less thing to worry about whilst coping with this loss.

Fabian was a widely respected and long-time leader to international and club hockey communities around the world. Many individuals knew Fabian through his dedication to coaching hockey on the pitch and his relentless drive to bring the best out of everyone he coached. His positive, professional, and supportive attitude was contagious as evidenced by his numerous on-field successes. He was greatly admired and touched the lives of countless youths and adults of all ages at all levels of the game. Off the pitch, Fabian showed his generosity with invitations to braais where he would always greet you with a big smile and what often seemed like endless amounts of meats. Sitting around the braai was where Fabian’s softer side shined. He was the kind of man who would help anyone in need.

All can attest to the effect Fabian had on people. You simply needed to be in his presence to sense his huge heart, experience his amazing sense of humor, and feel his remarkable warmth. Fabian had such a big personality and he often joked with friends about the virtues of high-performance athletes. The reality is Fabian was himself a high-performance individual.

Those wishing to help are asked to consider donating to this account. We hope that this endeavor will allow Jamie and Fabian’s family to grieve their unthinkable loss and begin to heal. All generously donated funds will go directly to Jamie to fund his educational endeavors as he navigates through this exceedingly difficult time.
