Valley RFC is proud to highlight the remarkable journey of our Head of Women’s Rugby and Women’s Premiership Head Coach Bella Milo, as she takes on a coaching role with the Manusina Samoa team at the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup in England kicking off this Friday.

Bella Milo has a rich history both playing and coaching Manusina and Societe Generale Valley RFC over the years. As Samoa’s most capped player and an experienced coach, Bella brings invaluable expertise to both teams.

Bella’s first experience coaching at the Rugby World Cup was at the 2017 World Cup where she served as part of the coaching team for Hong Kong. Prior to this, she represented Manusina as a player at the event.

The 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup, hosted from August 22 to September 27 across England, is the tournament's tenth edition and one of the largest ever, expanding to 16 teams this year.

Bella's role with Manusina is part of a growing representation of female coaches at the tournament, which now boasts a record 32% female coaching staff, reflecting advances in gender equity in rugby coaching worldwide. Manusina Samoa stands out for its majority-female coaching team, adding to a growing number of nations recognising the benefits of having female coaches involved in the game right through pathway programs and international representative teams.

The Manusina team’s participation under Bella’s coaching adds a significant chapter to Societe Generale Valley RFC’s proud tradition of supporting world-class athletes and leaders in rugby. We look forward to following and celebrating Bella and Manusina’s journey in the tournament as they compete among the world’s best.

Go Bella, we are right behind you and the team!
