Societe Generale Valley RFC

Valley Fort RFC is our Youth/Minis affiliated rugby club—based right here in Happy Valley. It plays a huge role in the continued success of Valley RFC, because our partnership gives young players the chance to develop their skills early, build confidence through coaching, and grow into talented senior rugby contributors.

During the rugby season, Valley Fort runs youth sessions three times a week and Minis rugby twice a week—all based on Pitch 6 at the Happy Valley Recreational Pitch.

Many of the standout players who have come through the Minis and Youth pathway have gone on to support the senior club and continue their rugby journey, including international opportunities representing Hong Kong China. Some incredible examples include Hugo Styles, Paul Altier, Rebecca Thompson, and Nadia Cuvelier (to name just a few).

Now, we’re excited to watch the next generation take the field—up-and-coming stars to look out for include Maurtis Kennes, David McMurray, and Bella Quigley.

Valley Fort is also led by rugby professionals with strong ties to Valley RFC. Director of Rugby Henry Shiell—who is one of Valley RFC Men’s Premiership’s own—works alongside a senior leadership team featuring Premiership players. The Boys Youth program is led by Robert Fogerty, and the Girls program is led by Tanya Dhar.
