32-26 to Leopards!! Leopards got off to a strong start 10-4 whilst both teams kicked off with six a side and Charlie Robertson held the defence circle on her own as GD whilst they waited a few tense minutes for their GK, Joyce to arrive. Momentum dropped in the second quarter with DGS narrowing Leopards' lead to two points, 15-13. At half time the defenders switched things up to try and apply some pressure to DGS' shooters and maintained their lead 25-22. The last quarter is where Leopards really showed their endurance and skill by pulling away to round out the game 32-26.
MVP was a close one but awarded to Elise Kelly who played out of position in WD and smashed out the intercepts.
