Sam brings a wealth of high-performance coaching experience and a deep-rooted understanding of Valley’s values and equally t importantly how rugby in Hong Kong ticks. He is the perfect choice to lead the next chapter of growth and success for our Women’s section.

Having been an integral part of the Valley family for the past five years as coach for the Men’s Premiership team, Sam understands the DNA of our club. He has worked with a number of Hong Kong rugby programs for ten years and has the proven experience identifying, developing and working with Hong Kong based talent as well as understanding the support systems needed for players new to Hong Kong.

As a former coach with the Hong Kong China Senior Women’s National team, Sam has already worked directly with the women’s game. In addition to this, Sam was also part of the coaching teams involved with both the Men’s National team and South China Tigers full time program. His experience with the representative level will be invaluable to our program.

As a highly experienced coach educator, Sam currently supports the coach development of coaches involved in the Hong Kong China Dragons program, this experience will no doubt elevate the development of our coaches throughout our program’s and deepen his knowledge of the future Hong Kong playing pool.
