Valley Prems Beat HKFC
Valley RFC prem mens team had a good win against their rivals HKFC winning eventually by 41-31. Valley were out of the blocks smartly with a brace of tries to Matthew Bell and a hard carry over the line by Tau Koloamatangi meant Valley were out to a 28-3 lead early. A lapse in discipline and a few vital errors meant that HKFC were able to build some momentum before half time and were able to notch a couple of well constructed tries to make the score 28-17 at half time. After the break Valley were able to take advantage of a bouncing ball and construct some phases in the 22 for Toby Fenn to go over in the corner whilst Rosslee was accurate with the boot. Valley were able to get to a 41-24 lead before HKFC closed off with a solid try to close the gap to 10 points. Man of the match was industrial prop forward Ben Higgins whilst other notable mentions should go to Matthew Bell and Matthew Rosslee.
