PANTHERS STORM INTO 10TH CONSEQUETIVE GRAND FINAL!

Panthers storm into 10th consequetive Grand Final!

Monday saw the much anticipated semi final between Valley Panthers
and Cricket Club's Black Magic. In the league their two encounters resulted in one win a piece, so Panthers were tense but determined to nail this one and ensure their place in their 10th consecutive Grand Final.

They stormed through the first five minutes taking their opposition by surprise and securing an early lead. The focus dwindled a little and Black Magic clawed back a couple of quick goals to show they were up for the contest.

Panthers regrouped at quarter time and proceeded to dominate the second quarter. The dynamic attack varying the passing and movement, left BM's defence one step off the pace. Pressure play in defence locked down the opposition's opportunities and Panthers were merciless in capitalising on the turnovers.

A strong lead at half time didn't deter BM from coming out and attacking in the third quarter, but they couldn't manage to diminish Panthers' drive and they simply grew in confidence applying a variety of strategic plays to outwit their opposition and saw the
final quarter as their strongest stamp of control of the match.

The final scoreline an impressive 35-15 to the Panthers takes the fired up unit to the rematch of last year's Grand Final against Football Club to hunt down the 2010 title!!

The Grand Final will be next Monday evening at Western Indoor Games Hall near Sai Yin Pun. Time tbc. Get yourself down there and cheer the girls on and join them in a celebratory drink after.
