KNIGHTS PUT STACKED SCORPS TEAM TO THE SWORD

Knights 38 - 30 Club Scorpions

It wasn't all one way traffic for the Knights who had to dig deep to overcome a stacked and zealous scum team on their home turf. Down 30-12 ten minutes into the second half, the Knights growing momentum, built over the last few weeks, looked shaky. The scum were making the most of their first team imports and found holes in the Knights defence that in previous weeks were not apparent. Even the introduction of the vaulted Slippery did not seem to stem the scum tide.

However 20 minutes into the second half, the Knights dug deep. Picking up the intensity both in attack and defence, and dominating collisions the Valley Boys rallied to score 4 unopposed tries. Kirky found his kicking socks and the Knights domination resulted in a 38-30 victory.

Captain Crewsy had another robust outing at no. 9, throwing his body around in cover tackles all over the park. Seb dominated in the midfield and Wes, despite confusion with tactical blood bin protocol, was on hand to dot down twice. All the boys showed great courage and cool heads when needed- particularly considering the score line early in the second half, and the scum-stacking tactics.
