Junior Netball Information 2010/2011
After such a successful season last year I am looking forward to getting the Junior Netball underway again. I have had a lot of enquiries about teams, comp dates, training etc. I hope that this email provides all the information you need. Teams
We will endeavour to have 3 teams in the Primary division - Meerkats, Kittens and Black Cats
and 3 in the Secondary division – Lions, Cubs and Cats
As with last season I will be running training for the junior teams on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons at Kennedy School – 4:45pm. The senior teams I am yet to make a time, date and venue for your training. Hopefully it can be at WIS on either Tuesday or Wednesday 5:30pm. Black Cats – I will see if we can retain a Thursday afternoon session at Gleneally.
Each team will have space for 10-12 players and it will be a first form in first accepted registration process. There will not be trials.
Registration
To register for one of the Valley Teams please fill out the below form. This is your formal registration and payment will be collected at the first training session. Final date for entries will be 10th September with training beginning soon after that.

Costs
Valley RFC has had a huge overhaul of all if its sports and to bring each sport in to unison the fee structure has had to change.
New costs are $1000HKD for one season and $1800HKD for two.
Fees include: New uniforms (very fancy ones), coaching, team fees, umpires, court hire, prizes, equipment and club levy.

There will be two separate competitions running again in 2010-11.

Sunday mornings at Wong Chuk Hang Recreation Ground (near Aberdeen)

Parent Help
My aim as coach/ administrator is get get as many young athletes playing and enjoying this sport. This means though that I am one coach amongst 6 teams that could potentially all be playing at the same time. I ask that all parents become involved in the running of the team to ensure that the athletes feel supported during their matches on the weekends. each team will need at least one or two parents who are willing to change the team positions around and offer words of advice/encouragment during breaks. I thkn everyone in advance for their support.
