Panthers 39 - 25 HKCC Black Magic

Western Park Indoors Games Centre, Monday 21st April 8.30pm saw the finals of HKNA Netball League between giants of Division 1 Valley Panthers and HKCC Black Magic.

1st Quarter kicked off at a fast and furious pace, both teams going all out almost matching goal for goal until the last few minutes with gritty defending and interceptions Panthers stretched into a 3 goal lead.

2nd Quarter, Panther’s stepped into another gear and took control of the game. Precise passes connecting effortlessly up the court from at a staggering pace, superb defending with agile interceptions saw the ball stolen from Black Magic and straight into Panther’s goal. The mighty Panthers onslaughts were too great for Black Magic to hold back. They managed to score 3 goals to Panther’s 14! Score boards at HKCC 10 – Valley Panthers 24

3rd Quarter Panthers eased into the game with a comfortable lead but still fighting for every opportunity to intercept and transferring the ball into the hands of GA and GS. Black Magic made great efforts to stay at Panther’s staggering pace, their mid-sections working hard to contain Panther’s attack they were rewarded with 7 goals to Panther’s 8.

4th Quarter saw Panthers poised for Victory, looking very much the dominant team digging in to the final seconds. Black Magic tried to make a comeback but just couldn’t make a dent in the lead, at the whistle for Black Magic had pushed to 8 goals to Panther’s 7 in the final Quarter.
