A Solid Victory for Panthers...
Panthers faced off against HKCC Devils last night, for our second game of the season.
We got off to a slow start, as we adapted to a completely new line up, and we actually dropped 3 goals in the first 3 centre passes! However we quickly got into our rhythm and with some solid defending and accurate shooting we pulled ahead to win the first quarter 8-3.
The second quarter was by far our best section of the game, where we conceded only 1 goal and scored 11!
We continued to gel and work better as a team throughout the game and ended the third quarter 27-7. Although we were wining we continued to work hard and focus until the last whistle, where the final scoreline was 35-12.
Our defence was excellent the whole way down the court, however Asabe, Janey, Kim and Anna was fantastic and turned around many interceptions. Anna and Nichole made strong decisive drives down court and fed the circle very well. Ellie and Maree positioned well within the circle and demonstrated accurate shooting throughout the game.
