Panthers payback!
Second time around playing Black Magic and we were determined to go out strong and get off to a good start and that was exactly what we did!
We went out guns-a-blazin in the first quarter scoring 6 consecutive goals and managed to pull away to a comfortable lead.
Our defence was fantastic! Jules, Chemane and Kim made it impossible for CC centre court to get the ball into attack and feed the circle and when they did they were forced to shoot from far out, which in a lot of cases resulted in us picking up a rebound.
Our centre court play was decisive and we drove the ball down court with speed and precision and fed the circle well. Our shooting was fantastic, and the girls worked the ball smoothly around the circle setting themselves up for the best possible shooting opportunity.
Our concentration did slip in the last quarter and we allowed them to pull back 6 goals, however our considerable lead from the first quarter was just too much and when the final whistle blew we won 32-28.
It was a great team effort and we need to go on court next week with exactly the same enthusiasm and attitude!
