![]() MATCHES OF THE WEEK TIGERS (16-67) L Player of the match: Jessica Broomhall It was a tough game for Valley Tigers against last season's winners Sonics. Despite the score we had some positive sections of play and met our own personal aim of scoring 16 goals (the same as last week)! Defence worked tirelessly against the energetic attackers and congratulations must be given to Jessica Broomhall, who was awarded player of the match for her relentless effort against a very strong WA. Onwards and upwards for the rest of the season! LEOPARDS (21-16) W Player of the match: Pearle Chan Week 1 for the Leopard ladies and the team has got off to a great start with a solid win over HKCC Crickets. The game was consistently close with what seemed to be a close score throughout the game. The Leopards played a really enjoyable game and there was some great 'flow' in each of the four quarters. At times we needed to slow the pace a little but all in all we're happy with our first game and first win. Pearle was MVP and scored some great goals, but everyone showed superb team spirit and there's plenty of potential for the season ahead. Go the Leopards!
