What a great way to kickstart the season for new found team 'We're NO Angels' who came second in the 7-a-side tournament held at HKFC with 9 different teams competing.
Opponents included - Dutch, HKFC C, KCC B and our most cherished opponents HKFC A!!!
With the team recruiting a few new players over the summer they were quick of the mark to get stuck into playing hard and hungry to score some goals!!!
The girls were quick off the mark in a fast tempo game against the Dutch and wasted little time and opportunity to get score 3 goals in 12 mins!!!
Throughout the day we saw some fantastic goals scored by Greenwo and Steyno on from the edge of the D!! Great committment in the form of a diving deflection by Nanks and good skill by Etch and Shackdown Shaz resulting in goals and near misses from Rach on the reverse and being denied by the post.
Of course Tina opened up the tally for the season and some great solid defending from Susie, Grace and Dora (with her new found obsession with her shiny helmet)!
The Angels have yet to beat HKFC A and came very close in the pool game but had to settle with a draw as we all started to get legs of steal and became a little slow off the mark.
Onto beating KCC A 1-0 finally...beating the team that got away last season and leaving us to face our beloved HKFC A again in the finals!!!
and so the finals...not much more to say except....we will get them this season ladies!!!
