VALLEY ANGER BOTTLE THE RAGE

Anger 6 - 1 SSSC A

Goalscorers: Matt Oliver 2, Te Rau Brown 2, Paul Chima, Mad Dog Calvert

Valley Anger overcame a Bullets A side up to their old dirty tricks in emphatic fashion 6 - 1 at Happy Valley. In what must be one of their quickest goals in history, Valley Anger managed to have the ball in the back of the net before Bullets had touched the ball. Within the first minute, good passing around the back found the T-bro on the baseline and he slid the ball across to Matty O who made no mistake from point blank range.

Bullets were shocked but things only got worse for them in the first half as T-bro and Matty O again found the back of the net for 3 Valley Anger goals in the first half while Bullets managed to score from a penalty corner. The first hints of whinging and ugly tackling were already becoming apparent from the Bullets side as player after player on their team was warned for dissent.

A warning was given to both teams at half time (although to their credit Valley Anger, had not been sucked in by the disgraceful antics of the opposition) and then it was back onto the field of battle. The defence were tough and uncompromising, the midfield put in the hard yards and the forwards created numerous opportunities. Valley Anger were in complete control of the second half. Goals to T-bro, Chima and Mad Dog Calvert rounded off a great performance as the Bullets side further enhanced their reputation as the thugs / complete losers of the competition by having two players sent off for dissent, another almost start a brawl with a stick to T-bro's chest and the traditional threat to walk off the field when being completely outplayed.

All in all, a great victory for Valley Anger, both on the field and morally with Bullets again tarnishing their already rock-bottom reputation.
