Anger 3 - 1 SSSC

Valley Anger steamrolled SSSC in the last 5 minutes to snatch a thrilling 3 to 1 victory at Kings Park. Anger controlled the ball for most of the game but were unable to put SSSC away.

The game started with Valley Anger in control. Bernie and Maxy were finding heaps of ball out wide and the midfield of Benny, Tim, Smithers and Mark were given space to distribute the ball to the forwards. It wasn't too long before Matt Oliver put another one away for the season and Valley Anger were on their way at 1 nil. Despite controlling the play, getting several short corners and having a fairly obvious stroke disallowed, Valley Anger were unable to find the back of the net despite numerous opportunities and SSSC made the most of their sole chance to equalize just before half time.

The second half was a tight tussle. Although Valley Anger had most of the ball, SSSC were dangerous on the breakaway and only some desperate defence from Ally, Duffy, Wolfie and Picko kept them at bay. The forwards of Matty, Mad Dog, Johnny, Chima and captain T-bro were working hard, causing several turn-overs and short corners but the killer blow couldn't be delivered.

The last ten minutes were some of the most action packed Valley Anger has played in recent times. Firstly a brilliant save from Picko off a penalty stroke kept the boys in the game at 1 all. Then the money man, Paul Chima delivered again with a fine strike into the bottom corner to make it two one. A less than perfect tackle left Matty Oliver bloodied and the female fans worried about his boyish good looks. Rest assured girls, the scar's going to make him look bad-ass!

Finally it was left to the skipper T-bro to deliver the knock out with a great final goal and Valley Anger emerged triumphant 3 to 1 in a gutsy hard fought win which keeps them right in with a shot for the Premier League title. Thanks for those who came down to watch and hopefully there will be plenty of spectators on hand for next week's game against the Club Scum mercenaries. And the search for Max's wife continues ...
