Anger fight to the last against top rated mercenaries

Anger went down fighting against top side KCC A 4-3 at Kings Park. Despite facing the best players money can buy in Hong Kong and 2 star struck umpires, Valley went 1 nil up within 10 minutes after a Matt Oliver goal. The Valley defence held up well for the first 25 minutes with only a dubious short corner leading to a KCC goal. Picko, when not swatting away drag flicks, was marshalling Max "the Power" Parry, the ever reliable Paul Duffy, the evergreen Olly Love and new English glamour boy Ally Brown with aplomb.

Unfortunately a 12 minute brain fade either side of half time and some "interesting" umpiring decisions led to 3 KCC goals and a dejected Tim King sitting behind the net. Mark asked the lads "to show some" and the boys answered the call. The T-man, Chima, Johnny, Mad Dog Calvert and Matty Oliver worked tirelessly rotating up front while Mark, Tim King, Neil Leonard, Smithers and Benny Chiu cut the highly rated and for hire KCC midfield out of the game. So on top were they that the T-man decided to give KCC back the ball when one of them fell over and had to be helped from the pitch. Very un-Valley!

A goal to goal machine Paul Chima and another one to Matt Oliver set the scene for a tense last few minutes. Valley threw everything at the KCC D but unfortunately ran out of time to score the equalizer. Great signs for the first game down at the Valley against title holders Shaheen. We hope to see lots of Valley supporters down at the game.

And the search for Max's wife continues ...
