A great Valley crowd turned up to support Valley Anger in their quest for victory over a Football Club side who seemed disinterested in the upcoming contest. Spurred on by the great support, Valley Anger stormed out of the blocks and soon had Football Club on the back foot. After a few games out, Olly Love hit a sweet drive into the bottom corner for a 1 nil Valley Anger lead.
Valley Anger were right on top but unfortunately failed to take their chances and Football Club made them pay on one of their few ventures forward with a drag flick into the top corner of the net. Unfortunately Valley Anger seemed to switch off a little and Football Club began to take control. Despite the back line heroics of Picko, Duffy and Ally who threw themselves at everything, quicker ball movement by Football Club and errors in midfield saw Football Club go 4 to 1 up by half time.
Memories of last season's thumping at Football Club came flooding back and it seemed there may be a repeat. But this is a new Valley Anger side with a belief that it can compete with anyone in the Hong Kong league. With the crowd behind it, Valley Anger gradually began to take control of the game after half time. Cleaner ball movement and a higher work rate saw several scoring opportunities for Valley Anger and eventually Johnny Bal was able to get through the Football Club defence to score.
Valley Anger pushed hard in the final 10 minutes but despite some short corners couldn't bridge the gap further.
Thanks to all the supporters who came down to provide such a great atmosphere. It would be great to have the support again this weekend, 4:30pm at HV1 where Anger will look to hit back against KCC. Apparently an offer has now been made to be Max's wife ...
