Congratulations ANGER. The Men's A-Team knocked off HKFC A 4-nil on Tuesday, April 29th to complete a fantastic regular season. There was a large Valley crowd down to support the boys as they took the push back. A cheer erupted as Dougal slotted the ball back to Undies and then proceeded to run off the pitch. ANGER dominated possession of the ball, and Buttler slotted home the first goal from a short corner. In his final game of the year, before heading off to Australia, Undies dribbled around the HKFC defenders like they were cones and put home another goal for a 2-nil ANGER lead. Then it was left post time - Lamby has staked claim to this territory and defies anyone else to tread in this sacred ground. Great passes from the Buttler and Johnny gave Lamby two more put aways to stake his claim as top goal scorer for the Club.
Now the historic parts of the evening:
1) The ANGER boys are the highest finishing Valley team ever in the HKHA Premier division - a well deserved 2nd place. This is quite an accomplishment considering the number of players that have left town (Bobby, J-Play, Mitchie, and Benny) or been injured (Max & Chappy). Thus showing the perserverence and will to finish the season strong. Great effort from all the players on the A's, as well as those from the B's, C's, etc that have filled in to help the A's. Special thanks to Duffy for being a great captain this year. Now let's go bring home the Rabobank Cup.
2) Dougal is the first outfield player to play in every Valley team (Mothers through ANGER)
