With 6 new players in a 16 member squad the Angels are off to a great start to the season yesterday!!

From the whistle Valley applied pressure against club players and forced them to make some errors whilst trying to move the ball around our players. It took a little while for valley to find some rhythm and they had a sense of urgency moving the ball up front as our forwards were eager to get some goals!

Several chances were created but club defenders were resilient and not letting our strikers have free reign in the D. Valley however were rewarded with their rampant attacking play when Etch opened up the score line and started the beginning of the goal scoring galore!

Grace earned a penalty stroke not long after but was unlucky in converting but brave to step up to the spot!

Club had several chances too and were quick to make counter attacks when we gave away the ball easily. Our defense proved solid in their interceptions and tackling on the ball and kept club at bay...

Tina scored from a penalty corner after the first strike deflected off the keepers pads, great hussling by Sarah in the D which resulted in a goal! Etch was hungry for more goals and got 2 more for a hat trick!! Charlotte scored a fantastic reverse stick sweep into the net!

Well done everyone that played yesterday. Everyone played very well and did not stop running for each other despite the ridiculous heat that was being contained our new shirts!!! But at least we look great!!

Who will be the next hat trick scorer.....???
