Children from 4 to 14yrs are welcome to join our MINI HOCKEY and YOUTH HOCKEY
programmes. Valley Academy Hockey is dedicated to bringing the enjoyment
of our great game to a new generation of players.

We aim to provide them not only with Hockey Skills but a lifelong enjoyment of sport.

Valley RFC employs professional coaches from around the world in particular Europe and
Australasia. The benefit for our Mini and Youth Hockey being the latest ideas and
techniques being injected into our game, from current high grade players.

Mini Hockey

Under 6's, U8’s, U10’s and 12’s.

Players not only get regular coaching sessions but are welcome to join in tournaments from
Under 8 to Under 12.

Youth Hockey

Youth Hockey takes our Mini Hockey players as well as newcomers from 12 to 14 years
of age and expands their skills base and experience to prepare them for senior Hockey.

Players over 12 years old (Girls) and over 14 years old (boys) on the 31st of August are
encouraged to join the senior mens and women's sections where you will be placed in an
appropriate team whereby your skills will be nurtured alongside experienced players.

*Note: Your child must be under the age of 6/8/10/12/14 on
August 31st to be eligible for the various
age groups (Particularly important for tournaments)

Training Times 2011/12

Saturday Mornings
8.30am-9.30am: U6/U8/U10's
9.00am-10.00am: U12's/14's

Hockey Equipment/Kit

Essentials: Hockey Stick, Shin Pads, Gum Shields
*NB: Kit is included in the cost of registration

Venue: Happy Valley

Training takes place on the Happy Valley Hockey Pitch situated in the middle
of the Happy Valley Race track.

Training and Tournament Dates 2011/12

Coming Soon: Dates are being finalised, the season
will run from mid Sept-May 26, approximately 25-30 sessions.
